The Thai Meteorological Department announced this afternoon October 13, that the ‘Nangka’ storm is traveling from the upper South China Sea and is forecast to move into Tonkin Bay and upper Vietnam from October 14-15 bringing more rainfall in the eastern and upper parts of the Northeast portions of Thailand. This follows a tropical depression, Linfa, that has drenched Thailand for the past several days and will bring yet more rain.

Wind and waves in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand are up to 3 meters high.

Small boats should keep ashore. Larger boats should proceed with caution.
