Thailand’s Meteorological Department has announced this morning, October 7, that the chance of heavy to very heavy rain triggered by a tropical depression over the middle South China Sea is likely to occur over the country from October 7th to the 9th.
The tropical depression is reportedly moving ashore in southern Vietnam on October 7 before moving west to the upper Gulf of Thailand, causing heavy rain over the lower Northeast, the East, the Central, and the South of Thailand today.
A monsoon from the Southwest across the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand is also forecast to bring more rain and strong winds in the Southern regions.
