Pattaya Marine Office warns of boats going into the sea

Pattaya-

The Pattaya Marine Office has issued a warning to boat captains and operators to beware of storm conditions. Small boats are being advised to stay ashore from today (Sept 18) until Sunday (Sept 20).

Thailand’s Meteorological Department (TMD) has announced this week, that heavy to very heavy rain triggered by tropical storm ‘Noul’ is forecast this weekend, from September 18th to 20th, in wide areas across the country.

The Pattaya Marine Office yesterday has issued this warning for boat captains that should avoid storm areas in the open sea.

Waves are forecast to reach two meters which could reach up to three meters high during thunderstorms in the open sea.

Boat captains are being advised to proceed with caution and monitor the weather forecast.

Boat operators must check the boats engine and equipment in order to make sure that all life-saving equipment is ready to use anytime.

Small boats are being advised to stay ashore.
