More rain expected in Pattaya area after night of scattered storms

Pattaya-

The Thai Meteorological Department, or TMD has forecast that another night of scattered thunderstorms is likely in the Chonburi and Pattaya area today.

This follows a fairly rainy evening that saw the first night of entertainment venues legally able to open hit by rainstorms that dampened the festivities for some.

A Southwest monsoon is prevailing over the Andaman Sea which is leading to the rainstorms, according to the TMD.

Chonburi is forecast for roughly a sixty percent chance of thunderstorms, primarily expected in the evening, similar to yesterday. Sporadic heavy storms and isolated flooding may be seen.
