The Pattaya City Police chased down an accused drug dealer in a white vehicle for over 15 kilometers last evening. Police seized a reported 2,000 methamphetamine pills, 100 grams of crystal methamphetamine and an unlicensed gun from the suspect.
A team of the Pattaya City Police led by Captain Prasit Boonprasit arrested 28 year old Mr. Suppachai ‘J’ Sangkhadit who fled from police officers following an undercover drug sting. The incident culminated with officers shooting out the tires of Suppachai’s car. A video is below.
Police seized 2,000 methamphetamine pills, 100 grams of crystal methamphetamine and an unlicensed handgun that were allegedly found in Suppachai’s vehicle.
The suspect was arrested in front of Prachum Khongkha Temple in Banglamung.
The arrest follows Pattaya Police conducting a sting operation based on a tip but when the suspect arrived for a delivery of drugs to an undercover officer, Suppachai became alarmed and sped away in his vehicle.
Police fired shots at Suppachai’s vehicle to blow out his tires but Suppachai managed to keep driving for an extended period of time.
After a total of a fifteen kilometer pursuit, police eventually stopped Suppachai by cutting him off, causing him to crash into road barriers nearby.
Suppachai remains in police custody and faces multiple charges of evasion of law enforcement, drug possession with intent to sell, possession of illegal firearms and other charges. It is unknown if he has a lawyer or which way he has pled at this time.
