Drunken foreigner goes on rampage around police station, arrested at beer bar (Video)

Pattaya-

At 1230 AM this morning a highly intoxicated and aggressive foreigner, who only stated he was Swiss, went on a drunken rampage in Central Pattaya near the police station.

It is reported that he started his evening by kicking in a glass door and injuring himself at the police station. He then crossed over to Central Festival across from the station while bleeding heavily from his leg.

The man, who refused to give a name and had no identification, continued disrupting a small beer garden in the courtyard of Central Festival with a live band sponsored by Singha. According to witnesses he knocked over multiple tables, stormed on stage and caused damage to several booths, causing dozens of tourists and staff to scatter. He injured himself again in the process.

Rescue personnel and police arrived and treated the man’s foot and brought him back to the police station where he seemed to be calming down, however, the man ran away to a nearby beer bar complex located next to the station where he proceeded to once again go on a rampage disrupting business and attempting to cause trouble with tourists and staff. Police followed him and arrested him in the beer bar complex.

He resisted arrest and attempted to fight officers, as can be seen on the video. At this point, police had enough and handcuffed and restrained him forcefully while he tried to kick them and resist arrest.

He then was returned to the police station where as can be seen he proceeded to break a waiting room glass by kicking it and cause more injury to himself and property damage. It is also reported by witnesses that he was placed in a cell briefly before destroying a waiting room but immediately tried to fight other detainees.

He was brought to a secure hospital for monitored treatment as officials wait for him to sober up and question him.

It is unknown what charges, if any, the man will face at this time while police determine what caused the incident and if the man has any mental illnesses or was just heavily intoxicated.
