Pattaya –
An American expat fell to his death from the 8th floor at a condominium in the Pattaya area last night (February 1st).
Lieutenant Colonel Arnan Mahakitaussawakun of the Pattaya City Police was notified of the incident at 10:00 P.M. at a condominium in Soi Buakhao.
Police, emergency responders and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find the body of the American expat, 88, on the ground. (The Pattaya News is withholding his name pending embassy and his family’s notification.)
A note with his room number was found on his body. Police went to the room on the 8th floor after discovering the note where the man had left his passport and other information behind for law enforcement. A security guard told police that he saw the man’s body on the ground and called authorities while he was patrolling but did not hear the initial fall.
At this stage, Pattaya police believe that the man likely took his life due to personal problems. However, police are continuing their investigation.
