ALL boats in Pattaya must now pick up and drop off at Bali Hai Pier as of May 1st, 2018.

Pattaya-

On Tuesday, the 24th of April, a meeting at City Hall attended by Pattaya City Officials, Police, Tourist Police, The Army and government officials decreed that all boats, private or public in Pattaya must now pick up and drop off at Bali Hai Pier located near Walking Street effective the 1st of May.

This includes all the Chinese Tour groups dropped off and brought back, the paragliding operators, the folks bringing private tourists to islands, etc. It does not, however, included Jet Ski operators as they are not a private boat.

Officials say that failure to adhere will result in impound of the boat as well as potential jail time and fines.

This will, according to officials, improve the morning walking and jogging experience for tourists and locals and improve the overall sea view of Pattaya.

Local residents have been asking for this for quite some time and if enforced the local community will be quite pleased.

We will provide further updates.
