Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs will officially launch the “Thailand Pass” program in November for incoming vaccinated foreigners to register their travel documents prior to their arrival in Thailand.

In short, the Thailand Pass system is a web-based system that was designed to make the documentation process of travelers entering Thailand more efficient and convenient than the previous Certificate of Entry (CoE) application.

The Thailand Pass is required for all travelers, both Thai or foreigners, including those who are (1.) fully vaccinated from the 46 “low risk” listed countries, (2.) fully vaccinated under the Sandbox Program (all countries), and (3.) non-vaccinated under mandatory quarantine program.

The required documents in order to obtain the Thailand QR code and enter the country are as follows:

  • Passport
  • Vaccination Certificate
  • COVID-19 Health Insurance Certificate
  • Confirmed ASQ hotel booking or Confirmed SHA+ hotel booking
  • Copy of Thai Visa (if required)

The registration can be done from November 1st at 9:00 AM. onwards via tp.consular.go.th. (Some reports have said this may be delayed by a day-editor) It is recommended that travelers should register at least 7 days prior to their travel date as the processing time for the application would take approximately about 3 to 5 days depending on the Thai Embassy or Consulate where the application has been submitted.

Those who have already been granted with the CoE can enter the Kingdom under new entry regulations that can be found on the website coethailand.mfa.go.th.
