Two arrested with drugs after breaking through a police checkpoint in Pattaya today
Pattaya –
Two suspects have been arrested with crystal methamphetamine after breaking though a police checkpoint in South Pattaya this afternoon.
Lt Col Korn Somkanae of the Pattaya City Police was notified of the incident at 1PM.
Two male suspects in a sedan broke through a police checkpoint at high speed this afternoon. Pattaya Police proceeded to chase after them through the streets of Pattaya at high speeds.
The sedan eventually collided with parked vehicles on the side of the road near Soi Pattaya 17. The vehicle had flat tires and had brought local police on a winding and dangerous high speed chase through the busy streets of Pattaya.
They were finally arrested, however allegedly were not cooperative and identified as the 21 year old driver Warayut Sengaun and his passenger 32 year old Natchaphon Paenark.
Crystal methamphetamine was found inside the sedan. Both men have denied all charges at this time and denied the drugs were theirs. They claim to have led the police on the chase out of fear, not out of breaking the law or having drugs.
Police are continuing their investigation for further legal action.
