Banglamung –

A Police Resort in Banglamung is now being used as a quarantine place for PUI (Patient Under Investigation) Police who may have been exposed to Covid-19.

An official letter was issued from the Royal Thai Police yesterday (April 27th).

The letter stated: “Many police are close contacts of previously confirmed Covid-19 patients who must be quarantined during this Covid–19 pandemic.”

“The Police Resort is on Sukhumvit Road in Ban Rong Poe near an 800-meter long beach.”

“The place is now being used as a place for quarantine for 15 days from April 27th to May 11th . There are no special resort-style exceptions being given to police officers, they are only using the building and have the same level of medical treatment and care as field hospitals without special exceptions. They are not allowed to use other resort facilities.” The letter stated.

“The Police Hospital is responsible for the quarantine of police and staff from police offices, anyone who tests positive during their quarantine will be sent to the police hospital.” The letter concluded.

This Police Resort was reportedly previously used as a place for police officers who had been injured in their duty for recovery, according to the letter. The Royal Thai Police stated in very clear terms that the resort would follow all Public Health Ministry Guidelines with, according to them, no special exceptions for those in quarantine.
