Thailand discovered 34 domestic infections among a total of 39 new Covid-19 Coronavirus daily cases in the past 24 hours, CCSA assistant spokesperson Apisamai Srirangsan announced this morning, March 10th.
A total of 21 local cases were walk-in/hospital cases, including contact tracing, that were found in Samut Sakhon with 11, Pathum Thani with 3, Tak with 3, Ayutthaya with 1, Ang Thong with 1, Phetchaburi with 1, and Bangkok with 1. Most of them are Thai nationals and are asymptomatic. All of the patients are now isolated at local and field hospitals for treatment.
The other 13 infections were reported during proactive case finding in local communities, particularly in local markets, factories, and migrant worker’s dormitories in Samut Sakhon with 8 and Pathum Thani with 5. All of them are asymptomatic and are being isolated at local and field hospitals under the supervision of public health authorities.
As of today, 95 people fully recovered in the past 24 hours and have been released from field hospitals and quarantine centers. Thailand has now reached a total of 26,540 cases with 25,946 recoveries and a total of 85 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
