A young woman was found dead near a parked vehicle with a charcoal cooker inside of it on Soi Khao Maikaew this morning.
Police, rescue workers and The Pattaya News were notified of the incident at 10:00 AM at a Sub-district Headsman’s house in the Khao Maikaew area.
The body was identified as 27 year old Ms. Sirinthip Geeteepakun, who was found deceased on a mat on the ground near the vehicle.
No signs of struggle or bruises were found on her body. Nearby, rescue staff found an SUV whose passenger side window glass was broken.
A small charcoal cooker was found in the foot well of the driver’s seat that had recently been burning in the vehicle.
Police believed that she had died at least 24 hours before her body had been discovered.
Her relatives told The Pattaya News that they had tried to wake her up inside the car but failed so they broke the car’s glass before moving her body out of the vehicle.
The woman is the village sub-district’s headsman’s daughter. They told The Pattaya News they had no idea why she killed herself.
