Dead Man Discovered Near Pattaya Public Park

Pattaya —

An unidentified young man’s body was found near a Pattaya public park yesterday evening. The man’s cause of death is under investigation by Thai police.

Sawang Boriboon rescuers were notified of the discovery of a decaying body around 6 PM on Saturday, March 25th. The incident site was located near a public park on Soi Chaiyaphruek 4 in the Banglamung district of Pattaya.

Investigators and rescuers traveled to the site to find the body of a deceased man without identification documents. The man wore a blue shirt, shorts, and sandals, expected to pass away at least three days earlier, the officers told The Pattaya News. Discovered beside his body were bottles of energy drinks and rice whisky, known locally as Lao Khao, known overseas as moonshine. Police kept them as evidence.

According to a security guard working nearby, Mr. Wichian Wongchalee, 72, he told The Pattaya News that the body was first spotted by a foreign tourist exploring the park. The body might belong to a non-Thai migrant worker who worked on a fishing boat, Wichian stated, but this appeared to be speculation.

The body was transported to a police forensic hospital for a detailed examination to find the cause of the man’s death. Police do not suspect foul play and suspect alcohol intoxication led to the man’s death.

Police are working on identifying the man.
