Chonburi —

A Thai woman claimed that rubbing her eyes caused her to lose control of her vehicle, resulting in a multi-vehicle accident in Chonburi on July 1st.

The incident occurred at 11:00 AM today on Soi Bang Pla Soy in the Bang Pla Soy sub-district, Mueang Chonburi district, Chonburi province. CCTV footage captured the moment a black Ford Ranger pickup truck swerved across the road before colliding with a parked Isuzu D-Max pickup truck and two motorcycles.

Mueang Chonburi police and emergency responders rushed to the scene following reports of the accident. Fortunately, no one was injured in the crash. The vehicles involved, however, sustained significant damage.

The driver of the Ford Ranger, a 45-year-old Thai woman, who was uninjured, was visibly shaken and declined to provide details to reporters. However, she reportedly informed police that she had been driving normally when she decided to rub her eyes, causing her to lose control of the vehicle.

Police are currently investigating the incident and will review CCTV footage to determine the exact cause of the accident.
