Sattahip —
A female suspect involved in a minor theft escaped from custody from the Sattahip Police Station on the afternoon of June 23rd, 2024.
The suspect, identified as Ms. Naranya Areepong, 20, was apprehended at Makro supermarket in Sattahip for stealing two bottles of alcohol at 10:30 AM on the same day. She was being processed by police officers at the station when she asked the police to use the phone to contact her family. Ms. Naranya then fled the custody of the officers with the help of a man identified only as Nit.
The man had short gold hair and a mustache. He was wearing a black short-sleeved shirt and green shorts. The two were captured on CCTV cameras escaping on a motorbike and were heading for Pattaya.
Police are urging anyone with information about the suspectss whereabouts to contact Sattahip Police Station at 038-438183 or the national police hotline at 191.
Update:
Ms. Naranya was finally arrested early yesterday morning, June 25th. Her boyfriend was also arrested for assisting in her escape.
