Car Collision Involving American Tourist Leaves Pattaya Man Injured

A Thai man was slightly injured when his car crashed into a sedan, driven by an American tourist, and overturned in Pattaya on the night of June 16th, 2024.

The Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Foundation received a report of a car accident involving two sedans on Soi Phra Tamnak 6, Nongprue sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province. Emergency responders rushed to the scene along with The Pattaya News team.

Upon arrival, rescuers found a black Honda Jazz sedan overturned on its side. The vehicle had sustained damage and engine oil was leaking onto the ground. The other vehicle involved was a bronze Honda sedan driven by Mr. Mohammed Amir Dhedhi, a 43-year-old American citizen. Mr. Dhedhi was reported to be uninjured and cooperative with police officers.

According to the driver of the overturned Honda Jazz, Mr. Theerathorn Ha-ngen, 30, he was driving from the mouth of the soi when the foreigner’s car, which was parked on the side of the road, suddenly pulled out and hit the rear of his car, causing his vehicle to overturn. Mr. Theerathorn sustained minor abrasions and pain in his chest and abdomen as a result of the accident.

Pattaya police are currently reviewing CCTV footage to determine the cause of the accident, liability, and proceed with any necessary legal action.
