Pattaya Police Crack Down on New Form of Drug, Arrest Alleged Singaporean Seller

Officers from the Narcotics Suppression Bureau (NSB) Pattaya Office arrested a Singaporean national for allegedly selling a new form of illegal drug known as “Pod K” on June 7th, 2024.

The arrest took place at the abandoned Major Hollywood department store located on Ramkhamhaeng Road, Hua Mak sub-district, Lat Phrao district, Bangkok. Officers apprehended the Singaporean suspect, identified as Mr. Yao Yuheng, 34, during an undercover operation.

Mr. Yuheng was suspected of possessing and selling a new type of drug called Pod K, which is electronic cigarette liquid mixed with drugs, including methamphetamine and ketamine. The drug can be consumed by being inhaled like electronic cigarettes.

The suspect was reportedly found in possession of 90 pods of electronic cigarette liquid mixed with drugs. The items were concealed inside his car.

Mr. Yuheng is facing charges of possessing and selling Category 1 and 2 illegal substances. He was transferred to the NSB Division 2 for further investigation and legal proceedings.
