Pattaya Collaborates with Chonburi Homeless Shelter to Provide Assistance to Homeless People

Pattaya —

Pattaya City officials collaborated with the Chonburi Homeless Protection Center, Social Welfare Office officers, and relevant agencies, to conduct a field visit to identify and assist homeless individuals within the city on Thursday, May 30th.

The visit focused on areas including Jomtien Beach, Jomtien Second Road, in front of Rom Pho Market, Khao Phra Tamnak, and nearby areas. The initiative aimed to enhance Pattaya’s tourism image and address the issue of homelessness.

During the operation, officials managed to identify 13 homeless individuals. Two of them voluntarily agreed to receive aid. They were then transported to the Chonburi Homeless Protection Center. One individual was sent to Banglamung Hospital for medical attention, and two people were returned to their respective shelters.

However, eight people declined assistance. The officials then gave them verbal warnings and documented their personal information for further procedures.

The names of the homeless were withheld by relevant officials for their privacy.
