A motorcycle collided with a car at an intersection on a Pattaya motorway, leaving two young girls injured, one seriously.
The accident took place at 5 PM on Thursday, May 9th, on Motorway Route 7 in the Nongprue sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province. Upon arrival at the scene, Nongprue police officers found two female teenagers lying on the ground.
The first victim, identified only as Ae (pseudonym), 18-years-old, was the driver of the motorcycle, a black-and-red Honda PCX. She had sustained minor injuries. The second victim, identified only as Nan (pseudonym), also 18-years-old, was the passenger on the motorcycle. She had unfortunately sustained serious injuries, including bleeding from her nose, a swollen forehead, and abrasions on various parts of her body. She was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
A bronze-gold Mitsubishi Lancer car, driven by Mr. Anurak Boontim, 42-year-old, was also found at the scene. The car had visible damage to the hood and front right wheel.
Ae, the victim, told police that she and her friend, both working as dancers at a tourist attraction, were riding home from work on the motorcycle. She was driving, and her friend was the passenger. As they approached the intersection, she said she did not see the car coming and collided with it.
Meanwhile, Mr. Anurak, the car driver, stated that he was driving home from the Pattaya Crocodile Farm area. He said he had just exited the underpass under the motorway when the motorcycle collided with his car.
Police are currently investigating the incident to determine the cause of the collision and identify the person at fault.
