A Thai waiter was severely injured when his motorbike collided with a sedan near the railway road in Pattaya early Thursday morning, May 2nd.
The accident occurred at around 2:39 AM, involving a motorbike driven by a 20-year-old waiter, Mr. Teerapat Wailom, and an MG sedan. The accident took place at a railway road heading to the Khao Noi area in Pattaya.
Upon receiving the reports of the accident, Sawang Boriboon rescue workers and medical personnel from Bangkok Pattaya Hospital rushed to the scene. There, they found the injured motorcyclist lying on the road in critical condition. Mr. Teerapat, who worked at a restaurant in South Pattaya, was immediately provided with first aid and transported to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention.
At the accident site, rescue workers found Mr. Teerapat’s damaged motorcycle, a GR 200 R, lying in the middle of the road. The car involved in the collision, a gray MG, was also damaged on the side. The car’s driver, Ms. Buppha Rangmat, 40, remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
According to Ms. Buppha’s initial statement, she was driving her car out of Soi Wat Tham and attempting to cross the railway road when the motorcycle, allegedly traveling at high speed, struck the side of her vehicle. The impact caused the car to spin out of control, resulting in the accident and severe injuries to the motorcyclist.
Relevant police are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the area to determine the exact cause of the accident.
