Chonburi Big Bike Rider Killed in Accident

A Thai man died after he crashed his big bike into a railing at a bridge in Chonburi today.

The accident occurred at around 4:30 AM on Monday, April 29th, 2024. The Samet Police Station was notified of the accident and dispatched police and rescue workers to the scene at a bridge in the Samet sub-district of Mueang district, Chonburi province.

There, authorities found the victim, identified only as Mr. Kriangkrai (surname withheld), lying on the road. He was shortly later pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics due to grievous head and arm injuries. Beside him was his vehicle, a red/black Honda CBR motorbike. A broken motorbike helmet was also discovered at the scene.

According to Mr. Koravin (surname withheld), a friend who was riding on a different motorbike near Mr. Kriangkrai at the time of the accident, he and the victim were out enjoying the view around 4 AM. Mr. Kriangkrai then got on his big bike to drive home when he lost control of his bike at the curve.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident. They are also urging motorcyclists to use caution and drive within the speed limit.
