Early Morning Collision on Motorway 7 Near Pattaya Leaves Driver Injured

Banglamung, Near Pattaya- A harrowing incident occurred early Saturday morning when a six-wheel ice truck collided with a stationary ten-wheel truck on Motorway 7 in the Nong Pla Lai sub-district of Banglamung.

The driver of the moving vehicle sustained injuries and had to be extricated from the wreckage by rescue personnel.

At approximately 4:36 A.M. on Saturday, the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Team received an emergency call and immediately dispatched to the accident site. Upon arrival, they discovered the six-wheel truck embedded in the rear of the ten-wheel truck. The driver of the six wheeler, identified as 28-year-old Mr. Thanawut Sangsaior, was trapped inside the cab of his vehicle.

Using a hydraulic cutter, the rescue workers were able to free Mr. Sangsaior, who had suffered leg injuries. He confessed to having fallen asleep at the wheel, which led to the unfortunate crash. Mr. Sangsaior was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The driver of the ten-wheel truck, Mr. Anuwat Gonkanplu, 27, reported that he had pulled over to the roadside to take a brief stop when the collision occurred. The back end of his truck bore the brunt of the impact.

Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. The local traffic division oversaw the cleanup and removal of the vehicles involved to restore normal traffic flow on the motorway.
