In a stunning display of skill and artistry, a Thai national hip hop duo from Chonburi has clinched the gold medal at the prestigious 2024 ICU Junior World and World Cheerleading Championships held in Orlando, Florida, USA.
On April 26th, 2024, the world witnessed the culmination of the intense competition as “No Stefanos Kukas” and “Jess Ekarin Iamsiriareerat” from Chonburi province soared to the top of the rankings. The pair, representing Thailand, showcased their exceptional talent, outperforming the global competition and securing the number one spot.
The event, organized by the International Cheer Union, an entity recognized by the International Olympic Committee, saw the Thai duo emerge victorious, dethroning the former champions from Japan. The victory marks a significant milestone for the Cheer Sports Association of Thailand (CAT), supported by the Sports Authority of Thailand and the National Sports Development Fund.
Mr. Montree Mokaracharoenmongkol, an executive of Boss Dance Studio, expressed immense pride in the achievement of the young athletes. The final round, which took place at 12:34 a.m. Thailand time, ended with Japan as the first runner-up and Greece securing the second runner-up position.
This triumph is hailed as a great matter of pride for the Thai national team, as they bring home the gold medal, setting a new standard for excellence in the world of cheerleading and hip hop dance.
