Minburi police and forensic officers were dispatched to the reported apartment and found the naked body of Mr. Anugsu, a 27-year-old Myanmar national, inside a 1,500-liter water tank with a broken cover at the top roof.

It was estimated that the victim was deceased for at least two days. The foundation volunteers reportedly brought the body out of the water tank before transferring the body to the Police Hospital for autopsy.

According to the police report, the victim was a construction worker at a construction site in the Romklao area. The victim lived with his wife and two children.

According to the victim’s family statement, at 11:00 PM, on April 17th, the victim reportedly drank alcoholic beverages with his friends at the top roof of the apartment. However, the victim complained to his daughter that the weather was hot, and he then went into the water tank to relax.

After the daughter went back to her room, the victim was still at the top roof all night. On April 18th, the victim’s wife lost contact with the victim, according to the police.

The apartment owner reportedly detected an error on the water pump light panel and went to inspect the water tank, the police reported. The naked body was found inside the water tank and the police were called to inspect the body, according to the police.

Initially, the police assumed that the intoxicated victim went into the water tank to cool down and drowned to death. However, the medical experts would examine the body to determine the exact cause of death.
