Two Cars Collide on Pattaya Road, Drivers Disappear Mysteriously

Pattaya —

Pattaya police are looking for two drivers who had evidently accidentally collided their cars and then mysteriously disappeared from the accident scene early Wednesday morning, April 3rd, 2024.

At approximately 00:16 AM, the Sawang Boriboon rescue workers received reports of a car accident on Bang Dej Hill, near the Map Prachan Reservoir in the Nongprue sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province. They collaborated with Pattaya police and rushed to the scene.

Upon their arrival, the rescuers and police found a black Toyota Yaris that had crashed into a tree and landed on the side of the road. The car was severely damaged. There were also signs of a collision at the back of the vehicle.

Next to the Yaris, a black Chevrolet Captiva was found. The Captiva, believed to be the car that rear-ended the Yaris, was also severely damaged. However, authorities were bewildered because there was no one at the scene. Both of the drivers had disappeared, leaving only their damaged vehicles.

A witness, 21-year-old Mr. Suphakrit Asipong, told The Pattaya News that he saw a modified pickup truck arrive and take one of the drivers from the scene. The person in the pickup truck reportedly took all documents from the car before leaving. Mr. Suphakrit did not see the driver of the other car before calling the police.

Authorities are checking the vehicle registrations to locate the owners and investigate the cause of the accident.
