Fire Guts Abandoned Pub in Pattaya

A fire broke out at an abandoned pub in Pattaya early on Monday morning, April 1st, 2024.

The fire started at around 5:06 AM at the building located on Soi 1, Pattaya Second Road, Nongprue sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province. It prompted a response from the Pattaya Fire Department and the Banglamung Fire Department.

On their arrival, firefighters saw fire engulfing a 30-meter-wide and 20-meter-long building. They used water cannons to extinguish the blaze, which took over 30 minutes.

The fire caused extensive damage to the building. According to a security guard, Mr. Somkiat Siprasom, 60, the building once housed a pub called Palladium. The pub had been closed for several years and was in a state of disrepair.

No one was injured in the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation by Pattaya police.
