According to the official release, the Wage Committee made the decision to support the tourism sector, which is a key driver of the Thai economy.

The 10 provinces to receive the raise are:

  • Bangkok (Pathumwan and Watthana districts)
  • Krabi (Ao Nang Sub-District Administrative Organization)
  • Chonburi (Pattaya City)
  • Chiang Mai (Chiang Mai Municipality)
  • Prachuap Khiri Khan (Hin Municipality)
  • Phang Nga (Khukkhak Sub-District Municipality)
  • Phuket (entire province)
  • Rayong (Ban Phe Sub-district)
  • Songkhla (Hat Yai Municipality)
