Chopper Collides with Pickup Truck in Banglamung, One Person Seriously Hurt

At 3:00 AM, on March 15th, 2024, Pattaya Rescue Radio Center received an accident report of a chopper rear-ending a pickup truck at the Motorway No. 7 intersection, Bang Lamung, Chonburi, causing one person serious injuries.

Pattaya emergency services were dispatched to the accident scene and found an injured person, publicly identified as Mr. Yutthana Empong, suffering a major burn wound. The emergency services performed first aid before urgently transferring the victim to Banglamung Hospital for immediate medical treatment.

At the accident scene, a black chopper was found ablaze in severe condition. Locals in the area were able to extinguish the fire before the officers arrived. Nearby, a silver pickup truck had collided at the rear of the chopper and the wheel was broken.


According to the police report, Mr. Jakkrit Phatrak, a 21-year-old pickup truck driver, and Mr. Saeng Chao Lao, a 45-year-old passenger, told the police that while they were at the intersection, there was a crashing sound from the rear of his truck.

They witnessed the black chopper being set ablaze and then drove the truck to a nearby gas station, and picked up a fire extinguisher to extinguish the fire before calling the rescue teams, said Jakkrit.

Initially, the police officers gathered the evidence and interrogated the witnesses at the accident scene.

However, Yutthana, the black chopper rider, was currently receiving medical treatment and would be tested for alcohol content.
The police would take legal action according to his crimes if Yutthana had been intoxicated during the accident.
