Pattaya Motorcycle Taxi Drivers Clash with Bangkok Taxi Driver

A fight broke out between a taxi driver from Bangkok and two motorcycle taxi drivers in North Pattaya. The incident was captured in a video by a passerby.

The footage, reportedly taken on March 10th, 2024, around 8:30 PM, shows the taxi driver brawling with two motorcycle taxi drivers. The taxi driver was seen wielding a golf club while one of the motorcycle taxi drivers was holding a broom.

According to an anonymous source, the incident occurred near a tourist bus station in Moo 6, Naklua, North Pattaya. The source, who witnessed the event while driving, reported that the taxi driver lost his balance and was beaten by the duo motorbike taxi drivers.

Local reporters recently went to the motorbike taxi stand near the incident scene. They interviewed Mr. Max and Mr. Pop, the two motorbike taxi drivers spotted in the video.

Mr. Max and Mr. Pop alleged that the taxi driver parked in front of their stand and became verbally aggressive when confronted. They claimed that the taxi driver, who came from Bangkok and reportedly also claimed to be a former police officer, started the fight by retrieving a golf club from his vehicle and attempted to hit them first.

The Pattaya Police Station revealed that no reports of injuries or complaints related to the incident have been filed as of press time. However, authorities acknowledge the inappropriateness of the situation and will conduct an investigation to determine the full story.
