At 12:06 AM, on March 2nd, 2024, Pattaya Rescue Radio Center received an accident report of a pickup truck driver colliding with a police truck on Rural Road 2081, Bang Lamung, Chonburi.

Local emergency services were dispatched to the accident scene and found police and grey pickup trucks in a forest on the roadside. As a result, two police officers suffered moderate injuries, the rescue team then performed first aid before transferring them to a local hospital.
Pol. Cpl. Nakarin Wongpu, a patrol officer, reported that the grey pickup truck drove at high speed and took over a taxi before losing control of the vehicle and colliding with the police truck.
According to the police report, the grey pickup truck driver, publicly identified only as Ms. Chanjira, 34, appeared to be heavily intoxicated with over 192 milligrams per decilitre. Initially, Chanjira was escorted to the Pattaya City police station for further legal processing on DUI offenses.
The amount of alcohol that is considered an offense is blood alcohol levels above the legal limit of 50 milligrams per decilitre.
