Banglamung Authorities Apprehend Suspect Selling Kratom Juice

Chonburi —

A young Thai man was arrested early Friday morning, March 1st, for selling illicit Kratom juice.

The arrest took place in the Naklua sub-district of Banglamung district, Chonburi province. Following a tip-off, authorities identified a stand selling a beverage suspected to be Kratom juice in front of a house in Moo 6.

The stand, named “YanYub Nam Kratom,” was clearly selling Kratom juice, according to police. It also offered a promotional deal of one free bottle per a purchase of ten. Contact details were also displayed for placing online orders.

To investigate further, an undercover agent purchased two bottles of the beverage for 100 baht. Upon purchase, law enforcement personnel revealed their identities and apprehended the vendor, Mr. Kannat Boonmee, a 20-year-old resident of Nakhon Sawan province.

A search of the stand revealed additional chilled bottles of the suspected Kratom juice stored in plastic containers and packed in foam boxes, bringing the total confiscated amount to 12 bottles. All items were seized as evidence.

During initial questioning, Mr. Kannat admitted to selling the beverage. He is facing charges related to the sale of Kratom juice without proper authorization. The suspect is currently in custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
