Pattaya, Thailand-
Screening and eye testing took place for children in need, as seen in the photos, on Wednesday the 28th of February at Pattaya City School Number 4. The Rotary Club of Pattaya has for many years been providing quality eyeglasses to needy children from schools in the greater Pattaya area.
We (Rotary Club of Pattaya) screen schoolchildren on recommendations from the teachers in a school and after some of the students are eye tested at Pattaya Optical on Central Road and eyeglasses are purchased by the Rotary Club of Pattaya with donations from the public and presented to the recipients.
Our reason for this project is simple: If a student can’t see what the teacher writes on the whiteboard, how can that student learn?
