Sattahip —

The body of a 35-year-old Russian woman was discovered in the sea at Bang Saray Beach, Sattahip district, Chonburi, on Wednesday morning.

Authorities received a report from a beach cleaner who found the body at around 05:00 AM on February 28th. Police arrived at the scene alongside the Sawang Rojana Thammasathan Rescue Foundation rescue teams.

There, they found the body of a foreign woman floating face-up in the water wearing black workout clothes and sneakers. A driver’s license identified her as Ms. Masperovich Kirichenko, 35. An initial examination revealed no signs of foul play.

On the beach, police found personal belongings believed to be Ms. Masperovich’s, including a bag, a denim jacket, a black electric scooter, 590 baht in cash, a can of beer, two smartphones, and one roll of cannabis. Police kept them as evidence.

According to Ms. Ratchanee Rueangrong, a local beach cleaner, she discovered the electric scooter, jacket, and bag while cleaning the beach early in the morning. Unable to locate the owner, she continued her work and subsequently found the body in the water. She immediately contacted the authorities.

Mr. Preecha Pipatpon, head of the Bang Saray Rescue Unit, stated that he frequently saw the deceased woman riding the electric scooter in the Bang Saray market area.

The body has been transported to the Police General Hospital in Bangkok for a forensic autopsy to determine the cause of death.
