Pattaya Police Arrest Vendor Selling Kratom Juice

Pattaya —

Police officers arrested Mr. Mor U, a 38-year-old resident of Tak province, for selling Kratom juice mixed with cough syrup along 36 Road (Pattaya-Rayong) on Sunday, February 25th.

The arrest follows Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin’s directive to crack down on vendors selling this illicit concoction, which has been linked to intoxication among youth and students.

Following a tip, officers discovered Mr. Mor selling the concoction from a stall disguised as a normal water stand. An undercover officer purchased a bottle of Kratom juice for 100 baht from Mr. Mor, leading to his arrest.

Mr. Mor claimed to be working for a friend and denied owning the business. He faced charges of “illegally selling Kratom juice mixed with other ingredients.” The case had been forwarded to Banglamung Police Station for legal proceedings.
