Rotary Club of Pattaya Center International Lay Foundations for RCPCI Park

Pattaya, Thailand-

In honor of Rotary International, in honor of Rotary in Thailand: on February 23rd, the members of

Rotary Club Pattaya Center International (RCPCI) created the basis for a park in Pattaya to bring honor to Rotary throughout Thailand – and many donations to be able to work with blessings throughout Thailand.

February 23 – this is Rotary’s 119th Birthday. That day is also called World Understanding and Peace Day.

In Pattaya, the foundation stone for the RCPCI Park in Pattaya has now been laid, in close cooperation and with great help from City Hall. Big thanks go to the mayor Poramet Ngampichet and the Department of the Environment in Pattaya. The first project is located on the mountain of Phra Phra. It has a unique 180-degree view of Pattaya. (Next to City Coffee).

With two large trucks with the trees and more than 20 employees, they supported the planting on February 23rd and learned a lot about Rotary!
The first 100 trees are now planted personally by many members who came together on February 23rd under the protection of the cool morning sun. The words of Janna Suwannasri, the club’s founder and president, were powerful.
“Dear members and friends:
Thank you for coming today to celebrate a historic day. Today the first trees for the RCPCI Park are being planted.
We will create a park here – with donors from our region and all over Thailand – that will bring help to so many who need it.
I hope that in many years I will be able to look back on today in a large park.
Thank you all for your help and sympathy.”

From now on, the RCPCI Park will be expanded every February 23rd, and this will become a tradition in the coming years. The park will also be continually expanded throughout the year, with large tree donations.

The trees planted by Rotary-Members and friends bring…

Charity: A minimum donation of 300 baht is the minimum per tree, with the proceeds going to the
Rotary Thailand and regional charities. The donations from Pattaya and the surrounding area go to our club’s fundraising organization, the other donations – those not from our region – go directly to Rotary Thailand.

Rotary clubs across Thailand can spread the word about the Park as anyone can contribute with donations large and small.
For each planting, friends, relatives, acquaintances – or the donor himself – receive a certificate confirming the planting in their name.
RCPCI Park is a charity in a new dimension. From now on for many years! Trees are life. Rotary is helpful for life. Our members put themselves at the service of the lives of people who are in the shadows.
