Chonburi Police Arrest Man Selling Drugs to Teenagers

Chonburi —

Police in Banglamung, Chonburi, arrested a 55-year-old Thai man for allegedly selling drugs to teenagers and possessing illegal weapons.

The arrest took place yesterday, February 22nd, in Naklua following an undercover investigation. Police seized two bags of methamphetamine totaling 9.19 grams, drug paraphernalia, a homemade air-pressure long gun, ammunition, and a cylinder from the suspect identified only as Mr. Gomol.

The operation stemmed from orders by Pol. Maj. Gen. Thawatchai Jindakuansanong, Commander of the Chonburi Provincial Police, to crack down on criminal activity. Acting on a tip, the Banglamung police investigation team successfully purchased drugs from Mr. Gomol before apprehending him and uncovering the hidden weapons and ammunition.

Mr. Gomol confessed to acquiring the drugs from a woman named Ms. Taeo and intending to sell them to teenagers. However, he claimed the weapons were used for hunting only.

Authorities charged Mr. Gomol with unauthorized sale of Type 1 narcotics and possession of illegal weapons and ammunition. He is being detained at Banglamung Police Station for further investigation.
