Pattaya Hotel Guests Caught Stealing Speaker on Camera

Pattaya —

A hotel manager in Pattaya has released CCTV footage revealing guests allegedly stealing a speaker and fleeing the premises. The incident, which occurred on February 15th, 2024, has prompted the manager to urge other hotels to be more vigilant and implement stricter security measures.

The guest, whose name was withheld pending investigation, checked in for a two-night stay at a hotel in central Pattaya on February 14th. On the evening of February 15th, he invited two Thai friends to his room.

According to the manager, who wishes to remain anonymous, the three individuals attempted to steal a speaker placed near the hotel counter. When confronted by staff, they returned to their room only to later come back to allegedly steal the device.

The hotel manager immediately reported the theft to the Pattaya Police and attempted to contact the guest via his given phone number. However, while the guest initially promised to return the item, it was eventually returned in damaged and unusable condition, the manager said.

The hotel manager urged other hotels in Pattaya to be vigilant and implement thorough guest checks upon check-out. They also advise fellow establishments to take proactive measures like staff awareness programs and install security cameras to prevent similar incidents.
