Thai Police Arrest Suspect Linked to Drug Dealing and Gun Possession in Bangkok Resort Raid

On February 9th, 2024, Thai Crime Suppression officers captured a suspect according to an arrest warrant from the Samut Prakan Provincial Court on possessing illicit substance offenses at a resort in Lat Krabang, Bangkok.

The suspect, publicly identified only as Mr. Winai, 32, was arrested for alleged involvement in drug dealing, gun possession, and illicit substance possession.

According to a report by crime suppression officers, on October 3rd, 2022, an unidentified apartment owner in Bang Phli, Samut Prakan, reported to Bang Kaeo police that a group of suspects broke into a car to steal six suspicious sacks.

However, the group spotted the apartment owner and shot at him, luckily, the shot missed. The suspects were able to flee from the crime scene, according to the police.

Upon police investigation, two sacks were left behind, and found to have stashed ketamine. It was stated by the police that the ketamine that was stolen from the car had a total weight of 120 kilograms and was worth more than 24 million baht.

Bang Kaeo police conducted a further investigation and requested an arrest warrant from the Thai Court for seven involved individuals. Two of the suspects were captured.
Initially, Winai, the suspect arrested this time, reportedly denied the allegations before being escorted to the Bang Kaeo police station for further legal processing.
