Sri Racha —

A motorcycle parked near the Koh Loy ferry pier in Sri Racha district, Chonburi province, had its rear wheel stolen, raising concerns about security at the location.

The Thai victim, Ms. Jariya Pratoomdech, 35, reported to authorities on February 5th, 2024, that she parked her Yamaha Spark 115i motorcycle at the bridge to Koh Loy before taking a boat to Koh Sichang and returning the next morning. Upon her arrival, she found her motorcycle propped up without its rear wheel.

Frustrated by the apparent theft, Ms. Jariya immediately filed a complaint with the Sri Racha Police Station. She complained that she relied on the motorcycle for her child’s transportation, and now she is struggling to traverse. She also urged relevant authorities to install brighter lights and more security cameras to deter future thefts.

An investigation is underway to identify and apprehend the suspect.
