One Person Injured in Two Truck Collision in Banglamung

A young driver has multiple injuries after he slammed his trailer truck into the rear end of another truck in Banglamung.

The Huay Yai Police were notified of the accident on Thursday (February 1st) on the No. 36 Road in the Pong sub-district. Emergency responders and the Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find a container truck had slammed into the back of a second truck.

The trailer truck driver, Mr. Panawuthayom Honghem, 33, was stuck inside his vehicle. He was still conscious but had sustained various injuries. He told rescue teams that there was another vehicle that had immediately braked in front of him. So, he decided to try to avoid the collision but crashed into a parked truck instead. He was taken to a nearby hospital to treat his injuries.

The other truck driver, Mr. Suchart Chomjan, 74, who was not injured, was waiting for police at the scene. He told police that he had parked his truck since last night to rest on the road side. He put traffic cones at the back of the truck to warn other road users before the trailer truck driver crashed into his vehicle

Police are continuing their investigation for possible legal action.
