Seven Tech Students Arrested in Bangkok for Robbing University Emblems and Bike Keys

On January 31st, 2024, Phasi Charoen police officers released a public statement after an arrest of a group of seven technical college students aged between 15 and 18 conspiring to commit a robbery using knives and three motorbikes on two students of another college institution.

According to a report by the police, seven technical college students on three motorbikes conspired to rob the emblems of Southeast Asia University from Mr. Sarayut Kulsathan, 19, and Ms. Amornrat Kaewwong, 20, Southeast Asia college students, at Soi Phetkasem 33/8, Phasi Charoen, Bangkok.

In response to the incident, Amornrat reported to the police that Sarayut’s and her University emblems were robbed and a motorbike’s key was taken by the group of suspects.

After receiving a report from the victims, Phasi Charoen police officers investigated the case and gathered evidence from local CCTV footage to track down the suspects. All suspects were captured shortly after.

Initially, the police escorted the seven suspects to the Phasi Charoen police station for further legal processing, however, some of them were youths, and relevant agencies must participate in police processing.

The suspect’s names were not released to the Thai media.
