Indian Man Found Dead Floating in Sea Near Pattaya Walking Street

A male tourist, believed to be of Indian nationality, was found floating dead off the coast of Pattaya’s Walking Street on Thursday morning, February 1st. The discovery was made around 10:30 AM near Soi 14, prompting a swift response from local authorities.

Pattaya police, along with tourist police, immigration officers, and rescue personnel, arrived at the scene shortly after receiving the report. The body, estimated to have been deceased for at least three hours, was located approximately 20 meters from the shore.

The deceased, aged between 40 and 50, was clad in black shorts and a brown T-shirt. The initial examination revealed no apparent signs of foul play. Ms. Supaporn Thanudetkhiri, a 25-year-old employee at a nearby restaurant on Walking Street, reported spotting the body floating near the back of her venue and alerted authorities.

Pattaya police stated that the origin of the deceased might be Indian based on a preliminary inspection, but his exact identity remains unknown. Authorities are currently examining missing person reports and accommodation records to establish his identity. The body has been transported to Banglamung Hospital for further investigation.
