Hundreds of 5-kilo rice bags were given to those in need last Thursday, January 18th, – it was in part made possible by the Rotary Club of Pattaya Center International (RCPCI), led by Jana Suwannasri, founding president of RCPCI, along with the club board and members of the Club.
Among the guests were Ms. Amporn Kaewsaeng, President of the Pattaya Police Commission, Ms. Lisa Hamilton, President of the Pattaya Night Business Operators Association and key entrepreneurs and business people. They all took part in donating rice to the needy at the Mahakali Avatara Chakkonni Temple. Officials from relevant government agencies also attended the event.
Jana Suwannasri mentioned that the RCPCI is a new club. On June 1, 2023, it received the charter from Rotary International to establish the club to provide various public benefits to society and the community, including assisting in the education of children so that they receive a good education and are ready to promote maternal and child health.
In addition, the Rotary Club of Pattaya Center International will also promote social work to help the disadvantaged in Pattaya and surrounding areas.
Last Thursday’s event was impressive evidence that RCPCI takes this task seriously. Hundreds of bags of rice were gratefully received from people who live here with us and are in need.
