Thailand Ranked 6th Globally in Telegraph’s Must-Visit Destinations

In the latest rankings based on Airbnb platform data, Thailand has emerged as the number one winter destination for Chinese tourists during the winter season (December 2023 – February 2024).

It also secured a place among the top 20 most sought-after destinations in Thailand, as evidenced by the search activities of Chinese guests on the Airbnb platform. Furthermore, The Telegraph, a leading UK media outlet, has positioned Thailand at the 6th spot among the ” The 20 places you must visit in 2024,” establishing it as the sole Asian country within the top 10.

According to Airbnb platform data, Thailand warmly welcomed over 3.5 million Chinese tourists in the year 2024, solidifying its position as the top international destination searched by Chinese travelers during the winter. Additionally, five Thai cities have been recognized among the top 20 most-searched destinations by Chinese guests on the Airbnb platform during the winter season. Notable cities include Phuket (ranked 1st), Bangkok (ranked 2nd), Chiang Mai (ranked 7th), Koh Samui (ranked 10th), and Pattaya (ranked 12th).
