Undercover Operation Reveals Police Officer Selling Meth to Colleagues in Nakhon Sawan

Nakhon Sawan—

On January 18th, 2024, Nong Pling Narcotics Suppression officers performed a sting operation to buy illicit substances from a local drug dealer near the Nong Pling police station in Nakhon Sawan.

However, the suspect who allegedly sold methamphetamine to a police decoy was later shockingly revealed to be Pol. SubLt. Suthirat (the police withheld the last name), the 55-year-old Deputy Superintendent of a Police Station. The suspect was also a co-worker at the Nong Pling police station, according to the police.

After the suspect allegedly sold the illicit substances, he then went back to work as usual, said the police. The Nong Pling police officers then captured the suspect with photographic evidence while the deal was made. The suspect was later tested positive for a drug test, according to the police.

Upon investigation, the police found 40 methamphetamine pills at the suspect’s residence. It was reported that the suspect sold methamphetamine for 30 baht a piece. Furthermore, the police captured 3 more involved individuals with 333 units of methamphetamine as property in dispute.

Initially, now former police officer Suthirat was pressed on charges of possessing illicit substances, type 1, and was escorted with the property in dispute to Nong Pling inquiry officers for further legal processing.
