Chonburi —

Law enforcement officers from Ban Bueng Police Station successfully infiltrated an alleged drug storage facility in Chonburi’s Ban Bueng district on January 10th.

The raid, conducted at a house in Moo 1, Nong Phai Kaeo sub-district, resulted in the apprehension of two suspects and the seizure of a substantial quantity of illegal narcotics.

Mr. Veerawat (surname withheld), aged 35, and his girlfriend, Ms. Narisara (surname withheld), aged 23, were taken into custody during the raid. A subsequent urine test confirmed both Thai individuals to be under the influence of narcotics, said police.

Authorities discovered a significant stash of drugs within the residence, including 8,364 methamphetamine pills, 60 grams of crystal meth, and 160 ecstasy pills. Both suspects were taken to the Ban Bueng Police Station to face charges of possessing and intending to distribute narcotics.

The criminal history of Mr. Veerawat also revealed that he was previously jailed for similar drug offences. During questioning, he attempted to justify his return to the drug trade by claiming that he needed money to care for his ailing mother. However, Ban Bueng police were unmoved by his explanation and were committed to holding both suspects accountable for their alleged crimes.

The suspects are currently detained at the Ban Bueng police station.
