Two People Injured in Big Bike-Taxi Collision on Pattaya Road

Pattaya —

A high-speed motorcycle collision with a taxi on South Pattaya Road left two individuals injured Wednesday evening. The incident, which occurred around 9:00 PM, drew a crowd of onlookers and tourists to the scene.

The rescue teams responded promptly to the accident, which happened on January 3rd, at the entrance of Soi Buakhao. Upon arrival, they found the 36-year-old Burmese big bike rider, Mr. So Kin Tui, and an unidentified male passenger, approximately 30 years old, sprawled on the road unconscious with serious injuries.

Both victims received first aid and were quickly transported to a local hospital for emergency treatment.

Authorities found at the scene a severely damaged Yamaha big bike, and a white Toyota Fortuner taxi, sustaining damage to its rear door as a result of the collision. A local resident’s sedan also received minor damage from the motorcycle accident.

According to Pattaya police, CCTV footage indicated that the taxi made a sudden turn to enter Soi Buakhao, causing the big bike, which was traveling straight at high speed, to be unable to brake in time, resulting in a violent collision. The taxi driver, identified by police as 42-year-old Mr. Jantha Hengprakon, was uninjured but did not immediately release a statement. Pattaya police said both parties would be summoned for legal proceedings once the injured victims made recovery.
