Pattaya Police Impromptu Nightclub Raid Finds No Irregularities

Pattaya —

A special police team from the Pattaya Police Station descended upon an entertainment venue early Sunday morning, December 24th, in a bid to deter illegal activities.

Led by Pol. Lt. Col. Sirachat Nuthet, the inspection targeted the Impact Club located on Pattaya Sai 2 Road in the Nongprue sub-district.

The operation, conducted at 00:30 AM, aligned with the “5 Free Campaign” spearheaded by the Royal Thai Police. This campaign seeks to eradicate five key issues: Child exploitation, narcotics, weapons, human trafficking, and the absence of overall safety.

Upon arrival at the Impact Club, Pattaya police encountered a sizable crowd of both Thai and foreign patrons enjoying the music. To facilitate an inspection, the police instructed the establishment to illuminate the venue, turn off the music, and segregate customers by nationality and gender. Identification cards and passports were checked, and preliminary drug tests were conducted at the venue. Additionally, the police also inspected customers’ vehicles parked in the venue’s parking lot.

Thankfully, the inspection discovered no evidence of illegal activity. However, Pol. Lt. Col. Sirachat stated that Pattaya police would continue to launch impromptu inspections similar to this operation to remind operators and the public of the ongoing efforts by Pattaya authorities to maintain order and safety during the peak tourism season.
