At 3:00 AM, on December 23rd, 2023, Phetchaburi police officers and relevant agencies of more than 60 units launched a raid operation after receiving a report of teenagers and minors gathering for drug-related activities at a hotel in Ban Lat, Phetchaburi.
The operation was ordered to eradicate illicit substances during the New Year holiday by the Royal Thai police.
According to a report by the police, more than 60 teenagers and minors under 18 years of age were found using karaoke rooms in a hotel and celebrating a party with illicit substances.
The police officers took hold of them and confiscated an undisclosed amount of ketamine and methamphetamine and an illegal blank gun. Many partygoers reportedly were found positive after being tested for illicit substances, said the police.
Initially, the police escorted them to a local police station for further investigation and legal proceedings.
